Community Manager

Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Community Manager to build, engage, and nurture our online community of climate tech investors, entrepreneurs, and enthusiasts. This role requires a skilled communicator and relationship builder who can engage community members through conversations, events, and collaborative projects. The ideal candidate will bring experience in community management, a deep understanding of the climate tech space, and a commitment to creating a positive, vibrant online environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Community Engagement and Growth

  • Build and grow a thriving online community by engaging members through regular interactions, discussions, and events.
  • Facilitate meaningful conversations among investors, entrepreneurs, and industry professionals on climate tech trends, innovations, and investment opportunities.
  • Identify and nurture relationships with key community members, including industry thought leaders, influencers, and active participants.

Content and Event Planning

  • Plan and host virtual events, such as webinars, Q&A sessions, and panel discussions, to provide value to the community and enhance member interaction.
  • Collaborate with the content team to share relevant articles, case studies, and discussion topics that encourage engagement and learning.
  • Actively source ideas for community-led projects, feedback sessions, and initiatives that support the professional goals and interests of our members.

Community Moderation

  • Monitor discussions to ensure a respectful, inclusive, and professional environment, addressing any issues in line with community guidelines.
  • Manage and moderate posts, comments, and messages, removing spam or inappropriate content and handling disputes as necessary.
  • Encourage positive and productive interactions, helping members feel comfortable sharing insights, asking questions, and networking.

Data Collection and Reporting

  • Track key metrics related to community engagement, growth, and member satisfaction to inform future strategies.
  • Gather feedback from community members to help shape new initiatives and improve the ClimateTechReview platform.
  • Regularly report on community insights, trends, and engagement activities to the ClimateTechReview leadership team.

Support and Facilitation

  • Act as a point of contact for member inquiries, providing assistance with platform navigation, event participation, and content suggestions.
  • Proactively connect members with similar interests, skills, or project goals, fostering collaboration and networking opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and customer support teams to enhance the member experience and align community activities with company objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in community management, social media, or engagement roles, preferably in tech, sustainability, or the climate sector.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a friendly and approachable style.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, able to manage and prioritize multiple community initiatives.
  • Proficient with community management tools (e.g., Discourse, Slack, or similar platforms) and social media platforms.
  • Knowledge of climate tech, sustainability, or related fields, with the ability to engage thoughtfully with industry professionals.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience hosting online events such as webinars, live Q&A sessions, or virtual networking events.
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools to measure community engagement and satisfaction.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
  • Passionate about climate tech and sustainability with an enthusiasm for connecting like-minded professionals.
