Levanta Renewables Expands Southeast Asia Portfolio with Six Solar Acquisitions

Levanta Renewables, backed by Actis, has expanded its renewable energy footprint in Southeast Asia through the acquisition of six solar photovoltaic (PV) projects from a regional developer.

The newly acquired sites are strategically located across Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand, adding 9.5 megawatt-peak (MWp) to Levanta’s growing portfolio. These projects are projected to generate over 13 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of clean energy annually.

The portfolio comprises solar PV assets secured with long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) with leading multinational corporations listed in the Global 500.

This transaction, pending regulatory approval, is expected to be finalized before the end of 2024.

Levanta’s latest move follows its recent acquisition of a 27.8 MWp rooftop solar system in Vietnam and a 139 MWp utility-scale solar portfolio in Thailand, further solidifying its presence in the region’s renewable energy sector.
